So It Begins

Hello internet peoples, non-peoples, and sentient computer systems (you never know).

The following story is fiction, created by Full Sail University students, and placed here for your enjoyment.

To play, read the posts that follow. You can go through the story in chronological order (bottom to top) or dive right in with the post titled And Away We Go.

Good luck and have fun!

And Away We Go

Hey everybody!

Ok, I think I might be on to something with this egg and its seriously brain scrambling buzzing. I translated the dots and dashes into zeros and ones, respectively, and I think I found something. I'll post a picture on my Instagram of the "code."

I don't want to get you too excited so I won't say anything until I know for sure. I'm going to be gone for a couple days while I investigate, but I'm taking my laptop so I'll try to keep you updated.

If you don't hear from me for a bit or if you want to ask how the adventure is going, you can email me: e.eldrige88@gmail.com

Oh, Pappy is with me, so don't worry about him!

Adventure, here we come!

It's an Egg-pocalypse!

Hey everyone (does anyone read this thing?!)

Another post about the egg that has taken over my life. If you’ve come here for Pappy pics, you’ll be disappointed, lol. This egg thing just woke me up at like 3 in the morning with it’s clicking and vibrating. I know this sounds weird, but guys? It sounded like it was an alarm. Once I picked it up it stopped, but then I could see the landscapes in the egg again.

It looked beautiful, the images in the egg I mean, but it was foreign. The trees had purple leaves for the most part, and some were blue. There wasn’t much in the way of grass, and some of the plants just felt sentient (in the same way you know that animals can talk in some movies). They looked like they were breathing!

Yeah. Plants. Breathing.

Worse, I felt like I was being watched from within the egg.

It just didn’t make any sense. I keep getting this feeling that this egg is window a into another world. A beautiful world, and the longer I stare into the egg the more I want to be there. It can’t just be tricks with technology, can it? It’s too old right?

Am I dreaming?

I’ve got to find out more about this egg. I’ll close for now, good night (or morning).

Egg you Later...Lol, jk!

Elvising

Hey everybody,

It's been a busy day and I've ingested WAY too much coffee.

Just wanted to say hello! I don't know if the egg is vibrating in Morse Code or not, but it's definitely dots and dashes. I'll make dots = 0 and dashes = 1 and get back to you!

Here's Pappy's Elvis impression:

What a hound dog!

Codes and Pillows

Hey, everybody!

Ellie here, and I have some updates on the egg.

Soooo, it's weird! I had the thing on my night stand last night. At first the vibration bothered me but then I noticed that it was vibrating in a pattern. I think maybe it's a code or something?

Is anybody good with Morse Code? Or maybe binary? I'll keep working at it...

Oh, and here's a picture of Pappy. I hope you haven't forgotten about him!

He's hiding from the egg, the goober.

That’s no Fabergé

Ok, this post isn't about the adorable Pappy, but I found something interesting!

It was at an estate sale on 7th and H. You know, the one we passed the flyer for yesterday? The egg was just sitting there on top of a box labeled “junk.” To be fair, pretty much everything there was junk. People said Mrs. Lancaster was a notorious collector of knickknacks and souvenirs, the kind of stuff most normal humans throw in the trash after a week.

Evidently, her grandkids had a heck of a time cleaning out her garage after she died. There was stuff EVERYWHERE!

I had almost passed up the entire fare when I saw the weird egg.

Pappy actually pulled me to it. He's a genius!

It reminded me of this weird ornament my mom used to put on the Christmas tree, all blue and silver and glass. This was more solid and felt heavier than it should have been. I don't think it's made of glass but it doesn't feel like metal.

And it's weird!

It vibrates in my hand and the silver veins sometimes don't show my reflection, not even distorted. If I look close, I can see a blurry image of a landscape of strange buildings and plants. The scene's enchanting and looks almost real. Super cool! The craftsmanship is exquisite. I paid the asking price of fifty cents and never looked back.

I don't know where the egg came from or if it's worth anything, but it's cool and it's unique. It seems super old. I'll keep it next to my bed, I think.

The yard sale guy said it was a Fabergé.

It is definitely not a Fabergé.

Pappy smelled it once and now he doesn't like it. He's silly.

Moms and Jedis

So, Pappy had a long day. Dog parks, epic walks, he found a few bushes to call his own, if you know what I mean! Lol.

He doesn't like the new apartment. But he'll cope!

Unlike my mom. Insert massive eye-roll.

She says I should have waited a few more years to move out. "Elise," she said, "you're far too young to be out on your own! I was six years your senior when I moved out with your father." Then she huffed like a grouchy seal.

Right, mom. As if I'm going to wait until I'm 34 to move out! She'd have me live at home forever.

Moms, am I right?

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Pappy Wan Kenobi!

Or Obi Wan KePappy...or Luke Pappywalker...or something! Lol. Sound off in the comments if you have a good Jedi name for Pappy!

Saw a sign for an estate sale down the street tomorrow. We're going to check it out. I'll let you know if we find anything superb!

The Crazy One and Her Dog

Hi everybody!

I'm Elise, but my friends call me Ellie. Actually, everybody calls me Ellie, even that mean cashier at Whole Foods. :(

But I'm not here to talk about my gluten allergy. No, I'm here to talk about the cutest Jack Russell you'll ever meet. Pappy!

Isn't he the cutest?

I swear he likes being smashed.

Okay, guys, that's it for now.

Wag you later!
